Richard is a master craftsman who listens carefully and executes perfectly. Richard has crafted for me copies of highly detailed antique drop leaf tables, highly detailed side tables with a variety of wood tables I saw in a magazine, and jewel-like tables I already owned. The copies are indiscernible from the originals. Richard’s breadth of knowledge about woods and finishes is inspiring. He also has crafted dining chairs and occasional chairs for us. We have gone back to Richard for nearly 30 years to craft our finest pieces. He can do anything!

Recently, Richard Gentry agreed to make a custom dining room table for my husband and me.
I knowingly had very specific ideas about its construction, color and finish. Richard’s attention to detail was superb as the spectacular results show. This 66” round table and two 24” leaves (to seat 12) is so well made, sturdy and has a beautiful, graceful presence, with the color perfectly matching the existing Hitchcock chairs.
This table has totally changed the demeanor of the dining room enabling all guests to be easily involved in the conversation.
